4th graders engineer windmill lifts!

4th graders have been busy engineering windmill lifts to see who's windmill can lift the largest load. They used their background knowledge on renewable energy and wind turbines to create the most effective windmill lift. We can't wait to test them out to see what design lifts the heaviest load!

3rd graders learning about Forces and Motion

3rd grade students using our Lego BricQ kits to better understand forces and motion. Students build track and field event models that moved and students explained what forces were used during the events. They are currently building race cars and will investigate how the tire size affects its speed.

Exploring 2D and 3D shapes along with Primary & Secondary colors

Kindergarten and ESN students are exploring 2D and 3D shapes. We made 3D shapes with playdough and created a robot using 2D shapes. We then learned about primary colors and mixed primary colors to make secondary colors.

1st Graders are Engineering Bridges

Our 1st graders have been engineering bridges to get a lost horse to it's friends in the pasture across the river. Students used Legos and popsicle sticks to create their bridges. They learned that a triangle is stronger than a square.

Serial & Parallel Circuits

Our second graders are using our Snap Circuit kits to explore the differences between a series circuit and a parallel circuit.
