Podcast Episode #16 is now Published!

 

I am pleased to announce that our Marylin School Podcast - Episode #16 has just been published in both English and Spanish.

In this episode:

• The 4th graders from Room 21 and Room 22 share the favorite thing they learned or their favorite school activity during 2025-26.
  
  
• "Marylin's Field Day Forever" is an original song to promote our upcoming Field Day on Wednesday May 27th and to solicit additional parent volunteers for this event. 
  
  
• Rocky the Roadrunner shares this week's Teacher Shoutouts to some of our outstanding students.

2026 Open House Video

Here are a few highlights of our STEAM program as shared during this evening's Open House:

TK - Life Cycle of Butterflies

To compliment the TK classrooms' PBL Unit of the Life Cycle of Butterflies, they just completed a two-part activity during their STEAM classes:

1. Color 2 coffee filters with washable markers.
2. Spray each with water and allow to dry.
3. Fold each wing back and forth.
4. Attach the "Antennae" and curl.
5. Affix to their Life Cycle paper.
6. Color in the other stages of a butterfly! 
   
   

   

   

   

   

2nd Grade Math Quiz Boards

For the past few weeks, our second graders have been learning about circuits. With that knowledge, they have built Math Quiz Boards which only light up if you match the correct question and to the correct answer.

Marylin celebrates Earth Day 2026

Thanks to STEAM Teacher Mrs. Higgins, Marylin students and our Teachers, every day is Earth Day at our school. Especially April 22nd! 

TK Playing New Song on our Glockenspiels

Today our TK classes learned how to play "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" on our school glockenspiels using color-coded sheet music. Then played along to a new version "Flutter Flutter Butterfly" to compliment their PBL unit on Butterflies. Check it out!
