"Science Careers" Panel Discussion at Marylin!

Today our 2nd-5th graders were treated to five amazing speakers from the community to share all about their career in a Science-related field.

Today 30 community leaders from right here in the Livermore Valley visited Marylin Avenue STEAM Academy. They saw all of our recently completed construction, including our STEAM Labs and new garden.

"Green Ribbon Award" Podcast #13

I am pleased to announce that our Marylin School Podcast - Episode #13 has just been published in both English and Spanish.

• 4th graders from Room 21 perform an original one-act play entitled
  "The Green Ribbon Repeat" about our latest California Green Ribbon School Award.

Building and Following Directions with Magna-Tiles

Today our students in Rooms 12 and 30 did a great job building and following directions using Magna-Tiles. Check out what they made:

2nd Grade's "Ice Cream" Experiment

Today our 2nd grade classes began an experiment to create Ice Cream in a Bag.

The Variable = One bag containing salt, the other not containing salt. 

This is their second experiment so far to help them learn and understand the importance of the Scientific Method!
