Exploring Nature with Digital Microscopes

Our 3rd graders are taking "Before & After" photos with their Chromebooks.  With each specimen, first they take a photo holding it up to their Chromebook's camera. Next, they take a photo with the same specimen magnified 200x using a digital microscope. Lastly, students write descriptive sentences about what they observed. Next week, they will be creating a slideshow with all their endeavors!

Science Experiments during STEAM

Our 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade students learned all about the Scientific Method and then conducted an Absorption Experiment. As part of this activity, students predicted how much water would be absorbed by these seven items and then recorded the results for each one. Next week, students will be creating graphs and writing their conclusions.
