PODCASTS are Coming Soon!

In early November, we will be launching the first ever Marilyn Avenue STEAM Academy's weekly podcasts. 

These podcasts will feature our amazing 4th and 5th grade student leaders conducting interviews and providing school announcements. 

Podcasts will also feature our weekly teacher shout-outs to students who have demonstrated extraordinary improvement at school that week.

TK Gearing Up!

This week our TK students began learning about gears. After a class discussion during STEAM, they traced and colored in several gears making sure that the teeth of each gear were connected.

3rd Grade - Activism Signs

Our 3rd graders are using Google Slides to make two-sided Activism Signs for the cause they would like to see change made!  (i.e. Stop Bullying, Protect Animals, Pick Up Your Trash, End Racism)

ESN Making Autumn Trees

 

Today, two more of our wonderful ESN classes created beautiful autumn trees using rubbing plates. Check out their works of art using the colors orange, brown, red, yellow, and green!

1st graders Coding with Dash Robots

Today, Ms. Coching's 1st graders continued developing their coding skills using iPads and Dash Robots. They are learning a variety of movement, sound, and lighting commands!

4th Graders making Topographic Maps

Today our 4th graders began the process of understanding topographic maps and constructing their own California Topographic Map. It will include the four regions of California that they are learning all about in their classroom.

Today our second graders used the Drawing Tools in their Book Creator digital books entitled "My Family" to draw a picture of a family member that have or will be interviewing. Check out these talented digital illustrators!
