In two of our ESN classes today, students received instruction and assistance building stairs, towers, and any other structure that helped give their Lego characters a lift.
Students visiting our new STEAM Labs the past few days were given a "ASK ME ABOUT STEAM LAB TODAY" sticker. If you see a student wearing one, please ask them to tell you all about what they did in STEAM!
Our amazing 2nd graders visited Room 34 (one of our two new STEAM Labs) today. In pairs, they worked together to problem solve and figure out solutions to a wide variety of geometric challenges.

Both of our TK classes visiting the STEAM Lab this morning for the very first time. During their session, they worked in groups of two and sorted our "STEAM Park" legos by shape and by color.
Our 3rd grade classes attended their first STEAM session today and were challenged from the word "Go!"
In small groups, students used Keva Planks to solve a variety of challenging geometric puzzles.
Then the groups began to create their own geometric puzzles which their classmates will try to solve next week during STEAM.
Today our second graders learned about the value of ramps and why they would want to adjust their slope.
